Description:
Thai cuisine is celebrated for its masterful balance of sweet, sour, bitter, salty, and spicy elements. By combining bright herbs, earthy fish sauce, pungent peppers, and creamy coconut milk in just the right ratios, Thai dishes deliver bold yet harmonious flavors.
Join food writer and chef-instructor Shawnie Kelley as she explores Thailand’s iconic flavor profiles, culinary traditions, and tips on sourcing specialty ingredients right here in Columbus. Using our professional wok stations, you’ll create three flavorful dishes that highlight the variety and health-conscious appeal of Thai cooking—most of which is naturally gluten-free!
On the menu:
- Tom Yum Soup – A hot-and-sour classic infused with coconut milk, lemongrass, fresh herbs, and chili. This aromatic soup is satisfying as a starter or a main when served with rice.
- Red Panang Curry with Beef – Rich and creamy with just the right kick, this red curry balances savory beef with the sweetness of coconut milk and red curry paste.
- Stir-Fried Vegetables with Thai Basil – Quick, colorful, and packed with flavor, this veggie medley with garlic, ginger, and lime is a go-to for a light meal or side dish.
All “woks” of life are welcome in our kitchen!
